That sounds like a nice set up! How much power are you making. My concern was since the inter cooler has less resistance, that the water would go through that and not the engine.

To answer your question is it ok to run synthetic with a roller. YES you can. Almost all new over head valves engines are roller and synthetic is preferred from the factories.

How good is NAPA oil? Sounds like the rings never seated. Maybe the hone was not correct for the ring you are running. I would also check you pcv system. Just a suggestion.

Sounds like a carb issue! If you have the cash I would get a new carb. If the idle is up and down, could be a vacuum leak. You could try to rebuild the carb, but I suggest a new one!

It runs great you guess. Is there a concern with the engine? Like Chris said if it idles alot it will be loaded up. All depeneds on how your driving it. It will have some carbon on it either way.

Well if you look at the cam card for the Crane 741 cam you are about 100psi over recommended. I would fix that problem first. Not a Happy valvetrain !
