What is it about this engine that allows 2400ft-lbs of torque on 93 Octane from 753 cu in.? Is it just 'leaned-on" that hard? I thought a 750" BBC on 93 would struggle to make half of that?

Nope, no other maintenance performed on the cooling system.

I'm starting to think that this is a possibility based on your last post. I may drain the system again and double check my refill...

I drained the cooling system using removing both drain plugs in the block. It's all the air that seems to be trapped in the engine that is concerning me. If I drained 4.5 gallons out and didn't put...

Trouble Bleeding 496HO Cooling System

It was time to change the coolant in my 496HO. Drained it and filled up through the reservoir. Problem is I drained out approx 4.5 gallons and have only put back in 3.5ish. I've run it a few times...

Cavitation plate.

The handle between your knees changes the 'home' position of the plate. The foot pedal allows quick changes from the home position...... down pedal = down plate. Helps to plant the boat.

62 gal/hr at constant 850 output is around 0.45 BSFC assuming 6.2 lbs/gal fuel density.

Re: customer feedback

We bought a 25 Nordic from TSPM last summer. Paul was and is great to deal with. The before, during and after sale service is number one. Never an ounce of pressure. Any questions, shoot me a p/m.

Re: 26 vs 28 Daytona

So, it leans to the outside even at, say, 50mph? That's wierd. Is it an un-nerving lean? I agree that a 28 TD would be great for cabin room, but, as you all have mentioned, it'll take big power to...

Re: 26 vs 28 Daytona

Turbo,

Thanks for the info! I have to say that I'm concerned about the outside lean when turning. My 24 Skater leans outward, but only at 20-30mph. After that, it leans inward. What speeds for...

Re: 26 vs 28 Daytona

Not by my choice! We're looking for a boat with a cabin for the little one. I'm so in love with the Skater's handling, that I really don't want to go vee. If Skaters only had a small cabin on the...

26 vs 28 Daytona

Easy question ... besides the obvious length, what are the differences between these 2? Are the bottom designs similar/the same? Cabin size? Cockpit size?

Thanks!

Re: 25 vs 28 Qs

Thanks for the great input. I typically run the Finger Lakes which can be anywhere from glass to 4+ footers. Both are fantastic models, just have to decide how much $$$ I'm willing to spend! The...

25 vs 28 Qs

Well, I'm considering either a 25 Rage or a 28 Heat and have some easy questions for the current owners out there. How much space is there between the front and back seats? 1ft? 2ft? How much more...
