OK, I just decide to jump in and see what happens. I got the cases split but it was a learning curve which I will share.
I first removed all the case bolts and a vouple that go through the selector...

I have searched and searched for the last 6 months and most are going for $300 used without any brackets. Buy it and re-list or keep as a spare. Fantastic deal! It even has the pulley.
