The Bennett’s will work fine on a smaller boat. The ones on the 272 just aren’t big enough for the boat.

Probably a break in the wiring for the trim limit switches. You can bypass them at the pumps.

If the boat has K-planes then it should have the indicators. Are the indicator cables attached to them? Sounds to me like someone may have added them to the boat, but didn’t set up the indicators.
