Best band for the buck I would say imco...

Best band for the buck I would say imco SCX4.Reason I went with it over say nxt or 6 drive was no transmission which translates to less weight and maintenance,and can still handle I believe over 1600...

Yes gears are the same,but it is 4" shorter and can run a larger diameter prop,I also have a 6 drive prop shaft.

Ran my boat today with new scx4 drive.Worked out earlier issue with IMCO,boat ran level and strong.running whippeled 525efi ,5 blade merc clever.Too cold to get any top speed numbers,but very happy...

Thanks for the info,but Peters boat is a stepped bottom mine is a straight V hull.The weather here has put a hold on my testing,will see what happens.Thanks again.
