I agree that I would NOT want to fall off at those speeds either! We rented a couple down at the coast this summer and it had been about ten years...

They gave you more engine compartment room with the 35 over the 36 which did reduce the cockpit space but you can still do the four bolster setup in the 35.

You are right in that it takes a 38 Fountain to have the rough water capability and ride that you will get in the 35 or 36 Baja.
