Re: Good Deals On Sonic

K&N's gain you no speed. Been there done that. Most experienced dyno operators will tell you that they flow a bit less than the stock flame arrestor. Flame arrestors on boats are much less...

Re: Baja 245 or Checkmate 240 zt?

Shoot for at least 25% off retail. That is realistic in the boat market and most dealers will accomodate. At this time of year they starting to think about dealing more so they don't have to carry...

Part of it might be that the Outlaw series is measured to the squared off back portion of the hull and not to the end of the swim platform. Visually the swim platform is a part of the boats length...

Re: crank sensor failure 496 HO?

I had the same problem on my 33. When they hooked the computer up it showed a bad crank sensor so they replaced it and it did not cure the problem. I found on here where others where having the...

Re: 30 Outlaw how fast??

Call Hawkeye Boat Sales in Dubuque Iowa. I know they had seat time in a new 30 with 525EFI's and were very impressed with it. Ran even with or a bit faster than a 33 they have with 575SC's. I'm...

Re: 1990 Baja 210 ESS

If you really run that much at WOT I would prop up and seriously consider using synthetic oil.

Re: 1990 Baja 210 ESS

How many people are you normally going to have on the boat? It will not hurt running a few hundred more RPM than Merc suggests if you don't get carried away with WOT runs. Your engine torque and HP...

Re: 1990 Baja 210 ESS

Make sure your trimming out to the proper height. Listen good and pay attention when your trimming out, you will hear/feel when the prop starts to slip or let go. Trim back one touch at a time...

Last summer on our first time out with the 33 we had our 3 and 6 year old boys with us. We anchored out after a bit because the water was too cold to stop at a beach. You know how kids are if there...

They wouldn't have to dyno the engine if you lied about what engine was in the boat. I'm sure it's listed in thier records the HP rating of merc's stock engines. If you tell them you have a 502 mag...

I'm really surprised you thought there was that much difference between 3rd and OD. I've never heard anyone say that they felt they were pulling too much RPM in 3rd then not enough in OD at the same...

I agree with you on pulling under 10,000lbs and a tire under 32". On my 02 1500 HD I have 285 75R 16's and they do slightly rub when backing up and turning sharp. I have my torsion bar cranked...

305 50R 20's are 32.00" dia. 265 75R 16's are 31.64" dia. Not much diff (1.1%). Put on tires equal to or bigger than 305 70R 16's or 285 75R 16's (32.80" dia or larger) and you may rethink your...
