Anyone have any input on ditching the factory lift pump and vapor separator tank setup in favor of a single aeromotive or similar electric pump?

1994 Scarab Thunder 31' Arch

Thanks for the input guys. One thing about the boat is that the previous owner had bottom paint put on. It's going to be a pain, but this winter I plan on getting it all off and having my glass guy...
