I've thought 70-72 was on low side myself, and know from the dyno sheets how much motor I had built, so I suspect I don't have the right prop on the boat.

That being said, I agree that high 70's...

It is a fresh water only 2002, on a Load Rite aluminum tandem trailer.

Boat came with 496 HO, I bought with 44...

I have a 2002, was originally a 496HO, but that certainly wasn't enough!

Live in Southern Maine, boat only on the lakes.

Love my Sonic, hope to stay with them at move up time.:D

Thank God that moron is gone - why is it that Sonic, Cig, Active, and other "old style", true offshore, boat owners can readily admit Fountains are among the fastest, but they suck in the rough...yet...

65MPH at only 4000RPM? You must have a HUGE prop under that puppy - what power you running?
