Default Camera question.

looking to take better pictures than the phone or little digital i got. Willing to spend 5 to 700. Any suggestions

Which model Rebel? I see there are several. Also will my lenses from my old Rebel EOS 2000 work with the newer models?

Most likely, but I suggest you ask your salesman.

My 2006 Rebel is an XT and still produces good shots. My salesman can't believe the amount of images I have shot with this camera even in the 1st year. I am not sure the exact amount of shots to be expected in its lifetime, but we both know I far exceeded the expectations....

My 2nd Rebel is an XTi.

The latest is a T2i I believe...

In that price range, Jay recommended a Nikon D200 to me.. i have been doing some searching and the price is in your range, unfortunatly I was shopping in the 3-450 range.

Are these two good for taking pictures of boats and other cool things or memories. Not looking for the memory part. Cameras for me not the wife
