I know last year he had Ron Potter Performance engines. I believe those are 1300/1500hp.
I would be curious to know also.
That boat is so much nicer now!!
Sharkey, awesome pictures as always. I hope you and Perfomance Boats can do some stuff together. Chris seems pretty cool and very professional to me.

I don't know, is it really that difficult to dock a shaft drive rudder boat? Rik at Twin Disc says it isn't and he should know...He could have stayed with the rudder and made the Six drives unsteerable right? I seem to remember that exact setup somewhere.
Power increase is righteous!

Chris has always been professional and a man of his word with me...
Things worked flawlessly when I worked directly with him.
Unfortunately Chris isn't the one that makes the decisions on what photography to use, that is left up to the Executive Editor who needs to stick within a budget...
If the budget is exceeded, then my only assumption is the editor will seek for photos where he can get them for free or through a barter deal...
And yes, the SPEED RACER still has Ron Potter Performance engines.

Hey all, saw Speed Racer first hand this weekend and all I can say is WOW!!!!
MTI did an amazing job with the transformation. It looks like a whole new boat. There is so much pearl in the paint, it shimmers differently from the slightest angle change causing the pics to look like the hatches are different but they are not in person.
It still has the 1350/1500 Ron Potter motors in it.
Congrats to Bob on taking such an iconic boat and making it even better! Kudos to Randy (MTI) and Ron Potter as well, what an awesome machine!
