Thumbs up SPEED RACER "The Sequel"

5-27-11
Photos by Tim Sharkey

Speed Racer is finished with its makeover just in time for the 2011 season. It no longer sports a rudder with surface drives.

The boat has been re-rigged with Mercury #6 Drives and is currently hitting the rev limiters at about 180 mph.

Owner Bob Christie couldn't be more pleased with how the boat is handling now. Especially with the new 2 Speed transmissions Bob states it is much easier to maneuver around the docks with the transmissions and no longer having the huge rudder .

A full Photo Shoot from inside and out has been done by Sharkey-Images.com .
