Default depth finder

I have a 1995 24ft Baja Outlaw and want to install a lowrance depth finder I just bought.. My question is does anyone know this boat and where is the best location to epoxy the transducer inside the hull. I don't want it on the outside mounted to the transom. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Darby

Speed,
search under depth gauge or my name and there is some info on what baja recommends and how to determine where you can get a reading.

I'll look for some of the replies I recieved from baja customer support on where this core spot was, but it might not be the same for your boat.

putting the transducer in a bag of water, place under the motor and have a buddy move the bag around while underway seems to work best.

If you can fill the bilge with water in the area you want to mount it, just place the transducer in that area of water and test it out. Works great without having to glue it down just to see if it will work or not.

The water trick worked for me on a similar boat.

When you epoxy it down... use the slow setting epoxy (30 minutes or more) the fast setting epoxy leaves bubbles in there and they will mess with your transducer.
