Default 496 oil in coolant

I have a 496mag HO whippled, with less than 10 hours on it and I keep getting oil in the coolant. I have no reverse problem such as coolant or water in the oil. I have pressure tested the coolant system for any leaks and only loose 2lbs of pressure in an hour, so what gives?

Anyone ever have this problem or hear of it?

Any ideas on what would cause this to happen?

Could it be a problem with the heat exchanger?

Or could it be a problem with the oil cooler?

Are you getting coolant in the oil?

Even small amounts can destroy the engine.

Time to send an oil sample to Blackstone Labs.

Steve,

Don't think it its the heat exchanger or oil cooler - I beleive both are cooled by sea/lake water not coolant. I too would lean towards head gasket - Were the heads torqued correctly? Their is a very specific procedure to torquing the 496 heads I beleive. Check with Peto or GT. You don't want coolant in your oil, it's bad news.
