Need help, new boat, HP 500 motor, changing oil

What is the bset way to change the oil in this motor. Just got the boat and am unsure but would like to change it before I take it out. How many quarts does it hold including the filter? Motor year is 98

I think it holds eight (8) qts. with filter.

What type and weight oil is reccomended for that motor?

Have the hand pump style through the dip stick. I'll check out the other thanks !!! 25 X 40 wt OK????????

yes 25-40 is best but you can use striaght 40
