I am currently looking at a boat with a set of carbed innovation 540ci 600's w/closed cooling. I am curious as to what it would take to do some modest power upgrades on these to get to the 650-675 range. They have about 150hrs on them.

It is going to depend on what cylinder heads you have. You may be able to cam it up, but it is probably gonna take dry exhaust and some decent headwork to pick up 75hp naturally aspirated. You may even have to change intakes and carbs as well. You can also talk to Bob Madara and see what he can do for you.585-654-8583
Damon, closed cooling means no sea water enters the motors. It uses a heat exchanger and fresh water is circulated through the engine (on the more expensive kits the exhaust too) and it is cooled in the exchanger by the sea water, then dumped overboard.
