Default ssm #3 extension box question

im looking to put some extension boxes on my 35ft mistress this winter when i install my blower motors. do the extension boxes bolt right up to the holes in the transum the the drives used or do i have to redo the transum for new holes. should i keep the drive heights the same as they are just move them back via the boxes? will i have to change the tail housings on my bw 72c's? what does a rigging shop charge to due this? thx for any info, ratman

increasing your set--back will lower your x-dim. more so depending on your transom angle. your x-dim. (my bet) is currently too low to take full advantage of modern propeller technolgy.

measure your current x and then calculate it for the box your installing. if not done right boxes can loose ya speed...they really don't bolt on speed like many would think.

The trans cannot be converted, it is differant. Boxes are great, but not unless you adjust the X as Joe says. Might be time to look for some 5's. Don't forget the steering too.
