Electric Trailer Breaks
#3
Scott, what does it take?
I have a Dico Model 10 coupler with Kodiak discs on two axles. Total weight is 12K with boat and trailer and fuel. I'd like to do away with the surge coupler if possible. Can you do it in the parking lot during the Chill-Out? (JK)

A solid coupler needs to be installed (unbolt the old bolt on the new) Install ele/hyd unit, hook up brake line, bleed system. replace trailer plug with a seven pin plug, wire as needed. Install brakeway system ( battery, cable and switch) That would do it...........for your system about 1500-1600 total.
AND NO..............I WON'T DO IT THERE
I'll be there to party (would you really want a drunken person working on your trailer??)
