Default 2006 F650

Just got this truck. Are there any aftermarket performance acessories for the 300 hp CAT?

I'm trying to find a trailer company to convert mine to a gooseneck. I don't know why they are not used more.

There is one of those monsers here in Md. What a ride it is.
Goosenecks require extra expense to set-up.

We are using a gooseneck with our 45' Apache and it works really well. Other than placing the weight directly over the rear axle, the only other advantage I see is the angle that you can jack knife it when/if necessary. The only downfall to a gooseneck is that if you are pulling it with a pickup you cannot use a bed cover to keep your gear out of the weather.

I like ours overall. For a really heavy or a really long boat, I think that gooseneck is the way to go. For lighter or shorter boats, it may not be worth the expense. Just my humble opinion!

How do you like it? That's probably going to be my next truck. Just concerned how it would be for a daily driver. Dave

Matt, you got the wrong stickers in yours. Here is the OSO rig with the Cat 300 and 24.5" Alcoas

This is the ultimate marketing tool and tow vehicle, I just got back from a trip up north pulling 10k up mountains at 75-80 mph. You can see the difference between the Manning Conversion and mine.

The OSO truck was built by Place Ford www.placetowrig.com

Give them a call and ask for Matt Place, he knows EVERYTHING about these trucks.

As far as a daily driver, I like to drive mine every day. Suspension is a little rough until you drop a boat on the back and then it is nice. Their is an optional air ride for the cab that I am sure would make it ride great for a daily driver. Matt can answer all those questions and he will deliver it to your doorstep.
