Goosenecks are a lot easier to pull around. Especially in parking lots, easy to turn.
We will be building a new trialer for the Skater this summer and it will be a gooseneck as well.
One person with lots of experience towing did mention an advantage of a traditional hitch is that it is easier to find somebody to tow you if you break down. A tow rig driver told me it doesn't matter to him he will pull the whole rig.

The paint on the truck is finished, and I will be picking it up from killerpaint tomorrow. Here are some pictures Mike sent me of the finished product. Notice the custom emblems for the grill and tailgate.
