Power steering inoperable...

Power steering inoperable...
I brought my new (to us) Stryker 38 home on Friday. Everything is good, but the power steering has no assist. I disconnected the cable, and it's free. The drives have no bind either. I'm guessing it's in the orifice valve at the back of the pump, (my Thoroughbred had the same issue when I first got it.). Is there any thing I'm missing? I'm not too familiar with a cable/hyd system...

Congrats on the new boat. I look forward to seeing it this summer. I Have the same problem. My pump was replaced and my cable is free. I think my problem is back at the power steering actuator. It's about 250.00 to replace it if that's what it is. I hope you find out that it's that orfice again.....
