Default can I stagger my engine set up?

I'm switching my TRS set up to bravo. I have to redo the transom anyway because of humidity. Since I'll have no more transmission, and then wasted space, do you think I would have the room to make a staggered set up? It'a 85 Formula 35-7. Opinions?

I think space wise it going to be tight, time to break out the tape mesure, and not sure if it would be worth the expence
