Default Where to live & boat???

Hi, this is Mrs. Tony Montana.....My husband & I are debating on moving. We currently live in sunny, South Florida, where we can pretty much boat all year round. Although, due to the high cost of living increasing every day, we are thinking of relocating. At this point we have narrowed it down to 2 areas. The first is Austin, TX, where we hear Lake Travis is a great place for recreation (boating). The second is Raleigh, NC, which isn't terribly far from the ocean. We hear Austin is a great place to live as well as having some good jobs, but the same goes for Raleigh. My husband really wants to stay near the water, but at the same time, would like to live pretty reasonably. Does any one have any advice on either on the 2 cities or possibly another destination in mind? Looking to get reasonable real estate for under $ 250K, with property taxes not too high. Also job market needs to be booming for construction. Any input would be great! Thanks to all

Are you looking to boat year around? If so then disregard this statement, but as far as being a nice place that still has some places available under 250k and being on the water and construction is and will be booming for quite a while, look at lake of the ozarks, MO.
