I am looking at nice PowerQues 34 with Volvo 525s...about 150 hours on them... what is the reputation of these engines and duo-prop drives? Its a nice boat but i have little knowledge of high-perf Volvo stuff. Any in put would be appreciated..also what is the "oh sh--" factor on these ( are parts available for similar to merc)? thanks

Not familiar with the Volvo 525, but had a 350 block Volvo in the past. Great product...(better than Mercury) but parts could be a problem. Hopefully more info will come.

I believe all of Volvo's hi-po stuff (which was a relatively short-lived venture, btw) was built by Innovation Marine in Florida. I've heard nothing but good from folks on the Volvo drive vs equivalent Mercs, but Merc just seems to have a hammer lock on the hipo market.

The Volvo stuff is great.. The quality is top notch.. The down side is some shops are afriad to work on them... Jamie / Lakeside
