Wobble is 100% right always give full flow to the coolers, in the case of raw cooling dump the overage before the engine that will help to keep the edges of the head gaskets from weeping. On closed cooling I feel it is good to dump it just before the exchanger water at 30 psi will cool most any setup. I have a BravoX with Hi&Lo pickups I have had leakage at both my strainer and at the exchanger end caps, my boat will not make the speeds that can get the pressure way up but still high enough to be a pain at times.
