525 Oil Temp Problems, STILL!
Hi Guys,
I'm having oil temp problems with a Merc 525. ~140 hours, We have checked oil cooler, changed oil thermostat and oil temp sender. Motor still runs at 260 under load. Checked with Temperature Laser Gun to verify and guage is accurate. Opposite motor in the boat runs at 220 ALL the time.
Tomorrow, putting boat in the water, mechanic checking oil flow path from filter to cooler to block with Temp Laser Gun to try and find the hot spot.
Anybody run into this before?, Merc Racing has a motor coming into their shop with the same problem.
