Default Question for you lil stinger guys

i have been reading some of the posts and people are saying that the hull isn't desighned to go over say 70ish. Is this beacause of the lack of support in the hull or what. Just curious. I have talked to guys on other sites and a few guys at some of the big sponsor sites and they have said they have seen these boats particualy the 202,s and 22's in the high 70's- mid 80's without issue. I am just wanting to know this b4 I decide to fix this motor mount, if the case is lack of support i will just doulbe up the stringers from front to back. Thanks for any info on this matter guys..... JOHN

i dont know about mid 80's without issue....i think its all i the setup of the boat. Going that fast in the 202 or the 222 i would have atleast the 280 k-planes and hydraulic steering. I think at the higher speeds with any smaller boat you just start to run out of bottom for the boat to remain stable on.....

Are you using the old Alpha 1 Gen 1 with this engine. Also what gear ratio are you going to be using. 1.34R The original V6 would have had a 1.84R

When do you expect to have the boat all up and running.
Keep us informed on the performance results.

Hopefully we will have it up and going buy mid september. I think will be running a 300 alpha drive, these drives were built at the end of the alpha production, b4 bravos for performance big blocks, so we will give it a try, I will surely post up when finished..
