I have 2 colored stripes on my top deck that start fading after a couple of weeks in the sun. my clear coat on the stripes is getting thin ,have one spot size of a dime that is gone down to the color.

1. have 2 questions should I have it clear coated just the stripes or the whole top of the boat.

2. should i have the stripes painted.

which would hold up the best ... cost is not a factory appearance and durability is.

I've painted decks with stripes that were fading with clear Imron. Very durable and shinnied then gel. No more fading stripes !!
