how much hp will they take, because i think i am pushing it with 700 and i am thinking of adding a 1071 blower...

you are pushing the limits if you plan on running the boat hard and will be in and out of the water....my 1000hp engines would fry the plates when racing and I even snapped a shaft.....again, that was racing; but if you are running it hard, plan on either upgrading or go crash box.....

good luck, your boat is awesome......my nephew, Mike, has a Sport which he is refurbishing as well

Hmmm, Velvet Drive is rated for about 500hp. Not going to last long with that power.

thanks donz sr. i plan on being in the heavy 900 hoarse range, i would not mind a crash box although with a single it is a ***** to dock now...........wait till you guys see the engine compartment after the winter i have the whole thing ripped down to the glass, going to diamond plate every flat surface and lots of cnc aluminum panels, dash, switch,throttle,vents etc...........my wife put the brakes on the funding so now i going to get my favors back from friends and make her real pretty................
