How does the bolster seat come apart on a '97 272? I want to paint the white plastic on the back that has yellowed.

I repainted mine too when I repainted the entire boat last winter.

The best way to go about it is to remove the seat from the frame. Then just push the padded part of the seat back away from the plastic enough to get your paper or tape behind it. Then tape off the stainless grab handle, prep and paint.
Mine were nasty yellow too and now they are shiney and white.
