Default early fountain executioner

does anyone have any experience with the older flat bottom executioners. i'm running 900's with 3A's, my propshaft center is around 3.5" below the hull. i can go up about another inch before the inner t-plate hits the deck! my question is, will the possible gain in performance be worth all the agravation in relocating the engines and gimbles, changing the exhaust pipe locations etc. etc. also will the boat handle properly with the drives up that high?
