Default Garmin 276C question

My gps is about 4 month off on the date and thus the time is an hour off also. Is there a way to reset or reboot the system? I don't see a reset button and have tried removing and reinstalling the battery. Any help would be appreciated.

The date and time are picked up off the satellite. You do have to set the time zone difference from gmt. Some you have to select auto for daylight savings too. That would explain the time off but the date is weird. Might want to call the garmin techs , or email them after looking in the manual. They are pretty good at getting back to an email , like 24 hours. Beats waiting on the phone for an hour to get a tech.

You need to go through an autolocate cycle at least one time on power-up. That fixes the date. Change the date to the correct one in simulator mode, power down then up and it should go through an autolocate automatically.
