I just installed a retro roller cam in a Mark IV block. I thought I read some where that a special fuel pump push rod is needed? Or do you use the stock one that came with the engine?

I use a bronze tip push rod on my billett cams but not real happy with that either. The bronze eventually wears away and takes out the lobe. I'm now running electric pumps only with zero trouble.
Two seasons ago, I was in your shoes, but never asked the question, put the stock steel push rod on the new roller cam and lost fuel pressure within 30 hrs. Wore out the fuel pump lobe and mushroomed the push rod.
Good luck,
Kurt
