I have a top gun that I need to replace the wood material on the backseat the part that flips up in which you fasten the cushion to. It needs to be strong and the existing appears to be plastic. I would prefer it to be lightweight. Does anuone have an idea of what to use?

I made mine from PVC board. Lighter, stronger, and less expensive than Starboard, but best of all, you can glue it together.
