I just took delivery this week of an 2003 292 Fastech with counter-rotating twin 6.2L's, 1.65 Bravo 1's and 28" pitch props which I believe were the stock props from the factory. I took the boat out for the first time today and had a blast with it. I hit 72 on my GPS but my tachs were reading 5300 RPM which is just over the high end of the max RPM range of 4800-5200. I was wondering if I should look at going to 30" props to get the RPM's down to the lower end of the max range. Any thoughts?

If it was cool out and you had a light load, I would leave them alone. If it was warm and you had decent load of fuel and gear, then I would look at having them repitched to 29's or getting some labbed 30's.

It was cool out and I had a medium load so maybe that was the problem. I'll give it a while and see but may pick up a pair of labbed 30's just for fun. Where is the best place to pick some up?

You're in a great position to gain performance within your mid range cruise speeds and in the WOT top speed. Labbing 30's for your hull design should give you a couple in the middle ands get you to the 75+ mark on the top.
With the change in temps. and load you will still run above 5000 with the 30's.
