I don`t have to trailer a lot and I changed all the bearings about 3 years ago when I put new surge brakes on. When I got home I touched the bearing buddies the front hub was hot to the touch the rears were much cooler. The brakes are on the front would that make that much difference?

hubs on the brake axel will heat up after several stops.. drive it down the road and stop easy, jump out and check them.Then stop several times and check them again

Yea, the axle with brakes will always run slightly warmer then the idler axles. Any play in the bearings?

no play in the bearings every thing is tight no leaks, It was the first time out this year so I forget a little.
