Imco lower unit

Imco lower unit
I think i have an imco lower unit with a low water pickup, the problem is that it sucks up everything and is a pain in the butt. Anybody else found this to be true. This thing is almost the size of the outdrive. It looks like maybe they added a nose cone. What do i have to do to switch it back .
