Default 2008 GM Diesel?

The word on the street is the Duramax is out and there is a new diesel coming to town with something like 467hp? True?

You have the right screen name for a FORD, SPILMAN as in spilling oil.

Do a search on your precious powerstroke diesels on here or a diesel forum and you will notice you won't be alone on the side of the road, at the dealership or better yet the GM dealer trade in appraisal office!

Ford, GM, Mopar...everyone has there opinion on which one is best. FORD has been very good to me...awesome power, longevity, fuel economy, and the 08' has the comfort factor locked up. I did hear a few problems back in 04', did some research, did not affect me or my decisions. Because of the success I had w/7.3 I did not hesitate to buy FORD again...the 05' is still a grerat truck, but had the opp. to get into the 08', so I did it...NO SPILLIN' yet!

Oh Bull**** 800#%?? & 467hp, I'm doubting it. Every time Ford up's the anti, Chevy guys start the envy train and the rumors begin...just give up and get a Super Duty!!!!!

I just bought a new Duramax LMM. I haven't heard anything like that.
Just came from a Powerstroke and love the change so far.
Not to knock Ford, I loved my PSD, but I have a few friends in the Powerstroke business and it appears they can't figure out the healthy thirst for fuel in the new 6.4L???
I'm getting 15+ mpg (hand calculated) with 35's and a 6" lift. Buddy's new 08 PSD with same is sweating to get to 10 no matter what he does
I got 9.2 pulling my 35' twin engine boat on a 600 mile trip through many grades (up and down) at elevations of 4500' to 6400' (Ogden Utah to Lake Powell and back) Not bad for pulling 6 tons around I didn't think.
I like them all but just wanted a change and I'm happy I did. The ride and the seats were worth the change alone.
Just one owners unbiased view

Well Dave, sounds like you are enjoying the kool-aid!

Looks like Spilman will have one less guy to talk to at the gas pump and Ford service bay!

I guess the durmax's don't have injector problems. Our lot sells both, they all have there issues some more than others.
