The new 07.5/08 LMM utilizes a new 6 hole injector and has no reported failures in it's early life. We'll see if that holds up as we move along.

Personally, I think they've all done a fairly good job dealing with the new requirements, minus a few flame shots that is

03 Dmax CC 2WD with 96K on the clock, tire/fluid changes only. Still has the factory brake pads! I did get a letter that GM will extend injector warranty to 200K miles for free so I guess they are confident that the issue has been solved.

Nice try....I'll keep talkin' as long as I have ammo! Those new Chevy's look QUEER!! Just kiddin...I actually saw a pretty sharp one today, for a GM product.
BTW, my 08 is a bit thirsty, 14.5mpg around town and barely 16mpg running 80-no load. The 05' 6.0 was getting 18.5-19 highway...oh well

I've sent 3 Duramax's back to the shop for new injectors, all covered no prob. I had to replace a motor in a 04 Ford, they covered it no prob. I like both brands, but the new Chevy's a simply fugly. I like the early 07 better, new Fords look nice. Just my experienc as a used car dealer.

I didn't like the looks of the new 07'/08' chevy at first but I think it's growing on me. I have to admit the Ford looks iight, but I still wouldn't buy one since they don't have the Allison Transmission.

Funny you say that about the allison. I thought they were bullet proof. My buddy grenaded one in a 03 extended cab long bed duramax, no heavy towing and no mods, stock truck. Tranny had 70K, the dealer mechanic was dumbfounded. I guess nothings perfect!

On a side note, I will not chip my 04 F350 because I feel that the tranny is the week link on the setup. Too many guys pucking em.

That's funny, I had a 2004 GMC 2500HD Dmax/Allison CC SB 4x4 with 105,000 miles on it with a banks 4" exhaust, K&N intake, Edge Juice and Attitude. Treated it like a sports car and never once had a problem, except that it was an 04', so I traded it in last year for a 2005 Chevy CC SB Dmax/Ally w/4x4. Not one single problem. Booooyah!
