BTW, my 08 is a bit thirsty, 14.5mpg around town and barely 16mpg running 80-no load. The 05' 6.0 was getting 18.5-19 highway...oh well
Once you get over 10-12k miles you will notice a increase in milaege. As long as you have the 3.73 gears.

Hey, GM makes great gas motors; I just like the Powerstrokers....and everything else about the Super Duty.

Were not talking gas motors. The Ford 5.4 motor is a POS as is the older Chevy 6.0's. Both equally gutless in my opinion.

True... But Not Completely... The Truck 6.0 LQ4 Sucked... The 6.0 that was in the SS Silverado and the Denali is a bit different... (LQ9) I have a 2004 GMC Denali Quadrasteer... HO 6.0, AWD, and All wheel steer and 410's.. weighs over 5k LBS Chip and exhaust... Runs 14's in the 1/4... Seriously... and it does all wheel drive donuts... LOL

Ya! PPE sent us one to play with... We have it on our General Sales Manager's truck... Stage 3 225HP and 390 TQE... making the GRAND total... 590HP and 1050TQE and the flywheel... Stages 1-3 still keeps the fuel cut on at shifts to keep less wear on the trans durring shifting... stage 4 does not and that means trans no likey...

The LQ4 is a fine motor, it's just bolted to the wrong trans. The 4L80E has a tall 1st gear, throw in torque management and you have a dog.
The 1/2 ton trucks get to keep the 4L65E with a much shorter first gear; makes a ton of difference.
