Running a 23 Q-IV 25' Checkmate 502- 550hp

Last weekend I was on my way down the river and the motor sounded a little different. 1-2 foot chop and every once in a while I'd come off a good wave and the tach would jump from 3100 to 3600, but the boat wouldn't pick up any speed. Pull the throttle back to 2800 and then back up to 3100. A few minutes later.... 3600 again with no speed increase. Stopped and got back on plane again with no problem. Hammered it and she climbed up to speed with no problem.
Nursed it to our destination. Borrowed a friends 25p 3 blade Mirage and didn't have the same problem.
Did I spin a hub?

Been trying to call Hydromotive all day and the line has been busy every time.

Could be a drive coupler or something in the drive. You might not feel it with the 3-blade due to less resisitance?
When you say "solid" hub, you mean welded? Otherwise the Flo-Torques come in two varieties: metal and plastic. I'd expect the metal to be difficult to break. In either case, if you spun those hubs I'd think you know it=no go...
FWIW, the 24p Q-IVs I have right now are welded solid hubs.
