Hoping you guys can tell me what power options were available in the 1991 32 Fever. Interested in all cubic inch and HP numbers that were available as standard factory options. Also, what was the first year that fuel injection was offered.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Factory power back then for a 32 Fountain fever I believe was the 7.4 bravo 300 horse, 454mag 365 horse, and 502 mag 390 horse which were all using carbs.
A few years later (I think 1993) EFI was phased in the 7.4 bravo jumped to 310 horse, 454 mag jumped to 385, and the 502 mag jumped to 415 horse. In high performance series, You had the 465HP carb (which was later phased out to make way for the 500hp carb), 500 Bulldog(540 cu.inch) carb, and the 525SC carb all on bravo one drives.

Thanks RJAINLA. Sounds about like what I was thinking. I have seen 1991 502 Magnums passed off as 465 HP. I don't think that is the case. 390 HP sounds more like it. If anyone else can correct me, please do!

Correct, 2 different animals.
The HPs ran Holleys and Gil exhaust. Also the finned valve covers.

Right on the money RJAINLA. I also believe in the earlier years above Merc also had an HP 450. In the case of the HP 500 the change from Carb to EFI came very late in 1999 into the 2000 model year.
In any case if you question what someone is saying the motors are, simply take the engine numbers and check them out yourself. This will only tell you what they were when Merc produced them, not what someone has done to them over the years. Case for dealing with people you know and trust. It is pretty easy to tell if motors have been apart by taking some time to have a real good look see at the nuts and bolts.

Thanks Guys. Just want to be sure about what I am looking at. As you know, power options have a big influence on boat values. I assume the 390 HP engines had oval port heads and non roller camshafts and valve train. Would the lower end, ie crank, rods and pistons including compression ratio be the same on the 390 HP 502 Magnum as on the 465 HP?
