Default Depth finder?

Does anybody have a brand of depth finder they recommend? I am looking to buy just a depth finder ( who cares about any stickin' fish ) I have one that doesn't work and want to replace the one in my dash std 2 1/8 hole. I want one with a transducer that that I can mount in my bilge.

Several will work without spending much money. Lowrance,Humminbird,Teleflex(same as HB),and Faria. Can be bought for around $150 or so,most are available with thru hull transducer. Not a lot of difference between them, but I personally prefer the Lowrance at a couple more bucks.

I too prefer the Lowrance.
