So I am in the process of redisigning the dash in my 30' scarab s-type. I am thinking about installing livorsi's datatach propslip gauge. My question is, Is it worth the money? The dash panel in the s-type does not have a large enough back plate to hold the gauge so I am going to have to get tricky with the dash panel for it to fit. I guess that is why wondering if it is worth the money, otherwise I could easily go with two 3 3/8 tachs and one 3 3/8 GPS speedo and wont need to make any fancy mods to hold the datatach gauge. Here is a picture of the new dash I designed. Thoughts?

I have a digital GPS that give it to you your speed in tenths. I find myself trimming the boat so I have the most speed with out touching the throttle. Not really so sure that would help any more then adjusting for the most MPH. If you really need the slip you can do the calculation.
