Whats up with Atlantis Island?

I don't think the units are selling. Without a bridge, there just cannot be that much interest. Haven't heard anything official about it being shut down or anything. Not a good idea from the get go without a bridge. Depending on a ferry just wouldn't cut it for most.

I didn't check to see if any work was going on down there last week when I was at the lake but they were working on the construction a month earlier.
I agree without a bridge is going to severely limit it's appeal to a great many people, and the long term costs of the Ferry and it's upkeep, but the views are awesome from that point.
My guess is that at some point a bridge will be worked into the equation.
I know they said they couldn't have one but the way the Ferry is set up right now it's a no wake zone and really narrow, so what would it hurt to close that portion off completely?

Yeah they were working in Ocotober when I was down, and it appears they got their dock permits. But not sure how sales are, I saw their ad in Powerboat last month, so they are at least trying to advertise some.
The website shows about 1/2 of the units currently under construction or finished SOLD.... I'm not sold

Actually they have been turned down twice once before starting and once early last year when construction was underway.... That still doesn't mean it won't be tried again at some point...
Pretty doubtful they could get anything through nowadays especially with FERC getting in the act with shoreline and dock issues...

Yes, several business owners from Chicago area closed on their units in the last few months. They are moved in and I talked with them and they are thrilled with the outcome. The ferry is someone of an issue but it's limited hours of operation now are going to expand in the peak seasons and the new owners are feeling it should not be that big of an issue since most owners there put there car keys on the wall and only boat while they are there.
