Default 500hp carbed 500efi

I was wondering what does it take to change a carbed 500 to a efi 500 and is it worth doing.

not a real big deal to do, just depends on what you are trying to do. the carb set up would be easier and cheaper to deal with for performance mods, just going to need good intake/carb, a lower psi elect fuel pump, and a change to a aftermarket distributor would also help...Rob

you would need to find a COMPLETE 500efi sys. incl: distributor and fuel pump. if your carbed now, it probably is not worth the cost of doing it for what is gained.

500efi also uses a different cam. Not worth it imo.

you missed the part where he said he has always HAD efi. once you have efi motors you never want a carb again ever.
