Hello all. I hope the boating season is treating you all well. I have my first problem of the season. My gas gaauge is not working and it has been determined that it is the sending unit. I have a 1994 27" Baja Shooter. I know it has a 90 gallon gas tank, but I do not know how deep the tank is. I will have to measure it when I get back down to the shore, but I was wondering if anyone might already know how deep the tank is. I saw sending uits on a web site and the first two categories were (6 to 12 inches) and (13 to 24 inches). I'm thinking it will be the second one, but I have to confirm it.
Has anyone ever used the sending units that measure the air gap between two rods versus the typical float type?

I have used the centroid type fuel senders. They work great and they will even detect water in your gas! I have bought two, call them up, they are great to work with...

we sell allot of the Lavorsi senders and they work great. there is no moving parts and they are adjustable so you can make the gauge read properly for full and empty. I have then in stock my number is 281-326-4800
