Default Cat Insurance in Louisiana

Looking for some help.....I have a good friend of mine in louisiana(new orleans area) trying to purchase a 22 Eliminator daytona with a 496. He cant get anyone to touch him on insurance. Anyone have any ideas???

Hey Travis, I live in Denham Springs and had a hard time too, Give Miranda a call w/American Marine Ins. Services 1-800-283-5646. Once I got her she did everything possible to help, no matter who you call it is going to be Markel who insures the cat, no other insurance co. will do cats in Louisiana, and on another note if you get a quote from another agent you cant get one from another one because Markel won't give another quote, I will give American Marine an A++++ rating they used every trick to get me the best deal...I you need anymore info shoot me a PM.

Just wanted to correct that statement. Actually Lloyds of London will write a CAT in LA through our program as well. Either way, your options aren't "inexpensive". Just wanted to let you know that Markel isn't the only market. The best choice will just depend on the person's particular needs.
