Good news out of Italy that one of Sonny Levi's designs Hydrosonic Special a 31 ft Delta with 2 400hp BPM VOLCANO engines in 1967 has been discovered and will be restored.
Also in restoration again! in Oxfordshire GB is Levi's 1963 winning boat A Speranziella.

Good the news on the boats of Levi but completely negative those on the total abandonment of the Tramontana II near Nettuno in Italy....

So that are really good news Thunderbolt ts! Do you have any pics of those hulls? It is so sad that many of Levis hulls have rotted away. His designs have that perfect balance between beautiful and aggressive lines not only on his race- but also on his pleasureboats like this:



By the way BT do you have pics of "Dart"??

Obviously. I remember well the Dart when it pierced a wave during the Viareggio-Bastia-Viareggio pre race tests of the 1973. A project not suited for the offshore competitions of that times.
However for whoever is interested to the Hydrosonic Special as to the other boats of Levi I recommend you this beautiful site, that however it is in Italian.
