I was wondering How I would move the motor forward as far as the rear engine mount on a bravo style boat where the bellhousing is the mount. I WANT TO MOVE IT FORWARD 1". iS There a bellhousing with a adjustable mount or do you have to make a spacer for the inner transom.

On our Factory 1 boat we bonded a 3/4" plywood piece about 6' bigger around inside the boat. It held up perfect.

I would just use a rear racemount ,,,where u dont need the inner transommount.
Goes inbetween the bellhousing and the engine and bolts to the stringers .

How would that work, surely you need the splines of the shaft to engage in the drive plate? Hence the reason for the min/max measurement for the transom thickness.

It might help if you explain more about what/why you are doing this. If you are going to move the engine forward, I dont see how you will reuse a coupler. You would have to use a driveshaft, which probably means an ext. box.

Just trying a idea that I have. The new hp couplers stick out 4"s past the bellhousing so 1" will not matter.

Although the snout on the coupler sticks out farther, I'm not sure if the spines extend at all. They definately do not extend the entire length.
